It is our aim to make this website easily accessibile to as many people as possible, regardless of their situation, or the technologies they employ.
Of fundamental importance to ensuring accessibility is ensuring that the entire website is written according to the specifications set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Websites which do not adhere to these specifications could be displayed inconsistently in different internet browsers, and can not be understood by assistive technologies such as screen readers.
Website Accessibility
To the best of our knowledge, we comply with all 'Level A' criteria, and many (if not all) 'Level AA' criteria in the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
This includes the provision of access keys for the main pages on the site, which are listed below.
As part of our attempts to comply with the WCAG, the site has passed the "Cynthia Says" online accessibility tests.

Access Keys
"Access keys" provide keyboard shortcuts to main pages on the website. We follow the numerical access keys reccommended by the UK Government for site access pages, in addition to our own selection for more EEMC specific pages.
